Because Life Needs Good and Evil

Black and white.
Chaos and order.

Sinner. Sinless.

Life is a constant search for the happy medium, the yin and the yang.

It’s as renowned psychologist Jordan B. Peterson explains, “Order is not enough. You can’t just be stable, and secure, and unchanging, because there are still vital and important new things to be learned. Nonetheless, chaos can be too much. You can’t long tolerate being swamped and overwhelmed beyond your capacity to cope while you are learning what you still need to know. Thus, you need to place one foot in what you have mastered and understood and the other in what you are currently exploring and mastering. Then you have positioned yourself where the terror of existence is under control and you are secure, but where you are also alert and engaged. That is where there is something new to master and some way that you can be improved. That is where meaning is to be found.”

And that is why we’ve taken on our new Portuguese dynamic duo by WineLife: Sinless and Sinner. Two wines that will appease and challenge your taste. The perfect amount of balance needed to elevate your wine experience.

Exploration and mastery.

These beautiful blends come from Portugal’s Alentejo Region. Rich in winemaking history, Alentejo is similar to Rhone, with ample heat and stony soils. The Atlantic’s influence, however, throws in just the right twist of tension and relief among the vines to create phenomenal wines.

Sinless is a young, limited blend of native grapes that generously provides aromas of sun-ripened blackberries and black currants with hints of forest floor and spicy oak. An opulent mouthfeel with elegance and concentration to last.

Sinner, as you would imagine, is more complex, a blend of Alicante Bouschet and Cabernet Sauvignon. Remember that Alicante Bouschet is one of the few grapes with red flesh, creating deep, dark wines with power. Cabernet gives it a classic feel and creates harmony. Together, we get long layers and intensity. A wine to be taken seriously.

So two wines. Sinless is an amazing value with promising concentration. Sinner, pure Portuguese Power.

On this day, September 29, Portugal celebrates the Feast of Archangels, particularly Miguel, Gabriel and Raphael. Keep in mind that angels are heavenly beings, not like saints, something that humans can become.

We could say the same for wine. It’s heavenly.

Sinner and sinless are wines fit for a feast of heavenly beings.

And though we’re mere mortals, these wines are also fit for those who appreciate fine wine. Buy a case of each and have years of fun in comparing the two!
